A concept which imagines a scenario in which Sony had released a portable games console in the early 2000s (Instead of the eventual release of the PSP in 2004) that was more aligned to MiniDisc technology and the 'Walkman' brand.
The hardware design is inspired by Sony's Walkman products from the late 1990's / Early 2000's and has been deliberately styled to feel more functional and less 'slick' than the PSP. The brand was designed as an extension of both the PlayStation and Walkman families, utilising the respective colour palette and typefaces for the 'Playman' mark.
